Travelling to Norway, worried I won’t be allowed in the country

Next month I am travelling to Norway. I am going there to visit my girlfriend. Ive already booked the tickets, travel insurance ect.

I live in Australia, and am an Australian citizen. According to http://www.udi.no I do not need a visa to visit for up to 90 days, which is great! However, the same website says that they usually require you to have 500 NOK (~$87 AUD) for every day you spend in Norway, it then goes on to say "however if youre staying with friends or family, you do not need this much". I will be staying with my girlfriend and therefore fall into the latter category, but it does not tell me how much money I need to bring.

I am a student working part time and can only afford to bring about $1500, with me, but I am only staying for 4 weeks. This money only has to pay for things like going out or souvenirs, it does not have to pay for accommodation, so I am sure it will be enough for me, but I am worried that when I get there they might say it is not enough.

Basically, does anybody have any background with this? Im leaving in under 6 weeks and this is really worrying me.

Thanks.
