Traveling down under in March/April

Posted on January 7, 2016 | in Travellers Questions | by

Hey Im a student in his mid-twenties wondering whether I should travel to Australia or New Zealand mid March to mid April. A friend of mine is currently studying in Sydney and has a break then for about one to two weeks. We wondered whether we should do something like riding along the east cost of Australia or go to NZ together. That made me think that I could go to NZ and we travel there together for one or two weeks and I travel the rest alone.

What would you do/recommend for a guy never been in this area of the world? Especially what should I do alone for two to three weeks and what with my buddy?

Duration: about a month

Budget: ~2000-3000 EUR (flight not included)

Interests: Im interested in both cities/landscapes, doing a lot of activities and seeing stuff, not much of a laying-at-the-beach-kind-of-guy. I love photography and talking with local folk. More a fan of walking and bicycles, but renting a car is also fine. I have no high standards regarding accommodation and simple food is also fine.
