I will be flying into DIA in a couple weeks, then heading to Breckenridge. Due to the high cost of lodging in Breckenridge, I plan to spend my first and last nights in Denver. My itentative tinerary:

Thursday: arrive DIA 5pm. Hotel downtown Denver, go out to eat, grab a few beers, get an early nights sleep.

Friday: get up early, head to Breckenridge, get there about 10am. Drop stuff off at hotel, hit the slopes.

Sunday: Wake up, check out of hotel, head back to Denver before lunchtime. Check into Denver hotel, walk around the city, do the aquarium or some thing.

Monday: Check out of hotel, get to the airport around 8am.

I have Breckenridge booked, and flight booked. Im looking for hotel ideas (and should I stay at an airport hotel either of those nights, or will I be able to get between the two areas easily?), and transportation ideas (car vs. shuttle, etc.). And a reality check. Am I stupid not to book that first night in Breckenridge, etc. Thanks!
